All I know is we had a Master System way back when and I remember when we got the Nintendo it was amazing. I knew my brother was getting it for Christmas and had to keep it a secret. hahaha wow. that was so long ago.
If I remember, we went through 2, or maybe 3 Nintendo systems. I give kudos to Sega for not having the blinking red light problem that the NES had. What was the last Sega Master System or Genesis cartridge you had to blow into to get to work? _________________ John R. Gibson

because I'm only 13 I started out with a Sega Genesis because my older brother already had before I was officialy alive and my last system was either the cube or xbox _________________ I am me. Me am I. Am I me? Me I am.
13? That's great! Never in a million years did I think we'd ever get members or viewers younger than 21. I'll spare the "when I was your age" stories. Welcome to the forums.
Genesis was a great system. I still have the unit intact and attached to the Sega CD, and I still play it, despite the fact I have both emulated.
It's a shame your brother didn't own a Colecovision, or NES. Two great systems, and we hope to review some Colecovision games in future shows. _________________ John R. Gibson

My first system was the NES. Got it in 1989 when I was 4 years old. My older sisters played it more than I did because I was a weird kid who was actually scared to play Super Mario. I don't know why, I guess I just thought it was creepy to be controlling some little guy on my TV. My sisters laughed at me, but then I finally played and loved it. Loved games ever since. I ended up owning almost every major video game system, even the Virtual Boy (I think my parents were trying to kill me by buying me that thing). I had NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, all the different versions of Game Boys, N64, PSX, Sega Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, and all the GBAs. I never got any of the Genesis add-ons (and it sounds like I was lucky that I didn't), or or a Sega Saturn. I had never even heard of the Sega Master System until late in my teen years. Now I'm working on getting some of the current next-gen stuff. I won an auction for a Nintendo Wii last week for $290 and should be getting it sometime next week. The fact that my Gamecube decided to breakdown on me for no good reason (I hadn't even touched it for about a year) prompted me to buy a Wii, especially since I had some games on the 'Cube that I had yet to finish and wanted to do so on the Wii. God knows when I'll be getting an Xbox 360 or a PS3, but those will come...some day. I'll also be getting a Nintendo DS sometime in the next couple months.
The Atari stuff was a bit before my time, so I never got to experience any of that, unfortunately. _________________
As far as Atari goes, you didn't miss much. Some games were good, and kept me busy. Others were terrible, some, to the point where you didn't even know how to start it up, and once you figured out how (it wasn't always the reset button), you had no idea what you were doin. _________________ John R. Never got a chance to play Saturn. Dreamcast, I played once, and that was their version of Spider-Man. My neighborhood Blockbuster Video used to have game systems to rent, but never had a Saturn, if I remember correctly. Sega CD, yes. Playstation 2, yes. Unfortunately, they require a hefty deposit from your credit card, though it gets returned to you once you bring the unit back as it was when you left the store. _________________ John R. Gibson

At least you didn't try to take apart the Atari and attempt to make your own game system out of it. Tried that once when I was 12, before realizing you need the right tools for the job.
