| Quote: | The Hollywood Reporter reports that Warner Brothers is working on a live-action version of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon Yogi Bear.
The film will be directed by Ash Brannon (Surf's Up) while Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia are writing the screenplay.
Yogi Bear was introduced in 1958 as a supporting character on The Huckleberry Hound Show, and later got his own show in 1961. The character lived in Jellystone Park who mostly takes picnic baskets away from vacationers along with his friend Boo Boo, and trying to be smarter than the average bear from Ranger Smith. Yogi Bear was voiced by the legendary Daws Butler while Don Messick of Scooby-Doo fame voiced Boo Boo and Ranger Smith.
The film will be a live-action hybrid, Yogi and Boo Boo will be computer generated charcaters. No word on who'll play Ranger Smith, or who'll voice Yogi and Boo Boo. |
I don't think the ranger is gonna like this.

Yogi bear was good in short stretches.
I can't see a feature film working.
I'll wait for a trailer but I'm very skeptical.
