Welcome to Guilty Treasures

This is a brand new segment I want to try out.

Basically, it'll be a brief segment, along the lines of Attract Mode, what G.T is replacing. I, or one of the other VMTV hosts will talk about a video game or movie that we're admitting to liking or loving, and why we like it.

Think of a guilty pleasure, like watching a cheesy 80's movie, or playing a really bad Atari 2600 game. That's what this segment is.

It's difficult to take submissions, cause this is more of a personal segment, but if this segment makes it passed its first episode, feel free to offer input.

I must admit to actually liking the Sylvester Stallone film Driven... there I said it. Bad acting, shallow characters, silly CG bits and all, for some reason I dig this movie.

I think it's because I'm partial to Stallone. He's the butt of many jokes, but I grew up watching Rocky and Rambo so I have a soft spot for the guy.

Years ago, when Jay was a kid, he and a friend did a film called "Rockbo", which, of course, combined Rocky and Rambo. Forgot what the film was about. hehe

A guilty treasure for me? hmm one of my guilty treasures would be that I like playing the game "Neopets" for the PS2.

I know that game is seriously only for kids and the show is as well, but I like the game anyways so that´s one of my guilty treasures.

Nice!

Keep this in mind, though. Just because something is only for kids doesn't mean adults can't enjoy them, too.

Great first post, friend. Welcome to the forums.

No of course not.  I understand what you are saying and also if I had that opinion about those games and that idea then I wouldn’t be playing those games right heeeeh.

Saw this thread again, and just wanted to mention that I guess my biggest guilty treasure really would be that I like playing Pokemon for the gameboy, gameboy color and onwards.

I don't really see the point in the tv shows and all that but the games is so calm and relaxing that, that game must be another one for me and surely the biggest!

A guilty pleasure game was... "Thomas The Tank Engine 2" on the Amiga a racing game where you had to get to your destination before your rival does.  What endered me to this game was not the license, or the gameplay (It was fun playing against a friend, bearing in mind myself and my friends were around 17 or 18 years old at the time)is when you choose your character the loading screen shows the character portraits in a style similar to Street Fighter 2.
