Weight loss

I've just gone through my live action for the April 2009 show. Once you see it, you'll notice I've been putting on weight. I'd like to be in denial and say "Oh, the fat shows more when I sit down", but the truth is, I am gaining weight. About 10 years ago, I was about 165lbs. Maybe just two years ago, I was about 232lbs. The other day, I weighed myself in. 263lbs. Not healthy. Would explain a lot of things, shortness of breath, back pain, etc.

So, I'm going to come up with ways to cut down. One thing I might try is when Steph and I order out, we'll split a meal. Less money spent, and less food goes in my stomach. Figure as long as there's food in there, that's what counts.

Anyone here experiencing weight problems? Or had some in the past?

Dude, join the Army! They ran 40 pounds off of me in 9 weeks!

Seriously, I know what you mean. The older I get, it gets harder to stay in shape. I got a weight bench and that helps to burn some calories and build a little muscle.

Here´s one helps me and it helped my father and its cheap too.

Leave the car at home and start using the bike instead.

Some might say well you burn more calories when you run.

Yes that is true HOWEVER your putting ALOT of stress on your mussels and so forth thats really not all that healthy.

So get a bike and start doing 14 kilometers every second day or so and at the same time cut down on sodas and so forth a start drinking water instead.

Yup i know its a pain in ass (trust me it really is) but its needed.

Actually, have been cutting down on soda. I don't drive, or have a bike. We have an exercise machine in the house. I'll have to make it a point to use it again.

You'll see how chunkified I am in the next show. hehe

Working in a web oriented business being a programmer doesn't help burn the calories so I got Wii Fit and have attempted to exercise everyday on that (because it keeps track of my weight easily) and go outside and do more physical activities.

I'm the same weight as you John (although my height is 6'3" it doesn't show as much) but I still would like to drop 60 pounds and be at 200ish.
