Video Masters TV- Season 3, Episode 4- December, 2008
Merry Christmas to all! Actually got this one out on time. Because this is a special holiday episode, we have a review to Mickey's Christmas Carol, and that's about it.
Oh, also some game reviews to Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project for the PC, and Kung Fu Remix, a flash game. We dug up great stuff in our Digital Dig, including a Mega Man Movie trailer. Bree and Matthew show us a "Zombies" board game, and we take your questions in "Ask the Masters".
By the way, in case you haven't read, I'm happy to report no more site trouble. I got it taken care of, so those who click on the downloads will not be re-directed.
I need some sleep, folks. I hope you all enjoy the episode, and we'll see you in February. Don't worry, we'll still be around on the forums.

Great episode! Earl's attempt at giving Bree a christmas gift was amusing, and her e-mail at the end was cute. Good use of Player's 'Baby Come Back' for that bit. Don't worry, Earl. I've been down that path, too. I hope you find someone. Speaking of Bree, did she 'eat' one of the 'zombie' pieces from that game? Just curious. I couldn't tell if that was it, or a 'gas' joke. Please enlighten me.
Matthew's collection of movie based comics was interesting. I just posted a thread about 'Rock & Rule' on the 'Grumble & Glorify' forums, and i believe Marvel did a comic adaptation of that movie. It has actual screen grabs with word balloons to tell the story. I also remember Spidey's battle with Powdered Toast Man.
That video on what 'Grand Theft Auto' would look like as an Intelevision game was quite a find. Who knows if it would've caused as much controversy in the 80's as it does now. As for 'pack-in' games, the more popular consoles always had the best games in years past. Overall, great show. Marry Christmas, VMTV!

Bree did put a Zombie piece in her mouth, but did not swallow it, hehe.
Dunno if you have seen those silly Swiffer commercials, where the mop sends her previous owner gifts. Well, the opening skit is a parody of it, simply because I got sick of seeing those commercials.
Interestingly enough, I don't see them much anymore. Here's the one that inspired the skit.
Hope to start getting mp3 questions from you guys in the future. Bring em on.

I usually don't keep up with commercials, but i don't blame you for poking fun at them. Especially if they're irritating. Good parody, though. by the way, dose the delivery tag say 'Videomasters Postal Service'?

Good episode.
I don't think I'd like that Duke Nukem game. It seems a bit too restricted. I like Sidescrollers but there's something about the style of this one that I don't like. I don't think I'll judge it until I play it though.
That Disney Christmas Carol looks interesting. Growing up, the only versions I'd ever seen were 'A Muppet Christmas Carol' and 'Scrooged'. I'll definitely make time to check this one out.
Was this made before DuckTales or afterward? I'm curious if Uncle Scrooge was inspired by this or not.
Overall a fun episode. It's good to see a board game featured. It's cool that the show doesn't restrict itself too much to just video games and movies.

'Mickey's Christmas Carol' was made in 1983. Five years before 'DuckTales' hit the airwaves in 1987. From what i've learned, Carl Barks' inspiration for Scrooge McDuck did come from Dickens' classic story.

Yes, it does. And Matthew actually sent me that little prop in the mail a few days ago, hehe.

Looks like someone took the time to negatively rate just about each and every comment posted on the Youtube vid.
