This may sound stupid, but...Okay, so you drive to fast food restaurant. Read the board, wondering hmm what do I want to eat today. You decide I just want a cheeseburger and a coke. So you order: May I have a cheeseburger and a coke and thats everything. Then you get the famous "Is that everything?" or "It would be cheaper if you made that a meal." and even "Would you like to upsize that for only 49 cents?"
*DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT I SAID! A cheeseburger and a coke and thats everything. I did not ask if there is anyway I can save money on my food today, I did not say I wanted fries, also I did not say please give me more food than I can eat so I can gain more weight than regular exercise can maintain.
* Impulse buys, up selling any of that stupid sh*t I HATE it.
Any hoo, hope my little rant did not put you to sleep.

I get this a lot, or at least when I go to fast food joints. Even if you were really specific, and prevented them from offering you alternatives, like the ones mentioned above.
I think their heads would explode then.

I go to Subway just about every day, when I have the money to spend. Now, I got my mp3 player playing up until I get to the front of the line to order. Now, something that bugs me is when the people there don't speak loud enough. It also doesn't help you're distracted by the radio playing.
So when they ask you "toasted? Cheese? Extra cheese?"
And then you can't hear them, cause they mumble, it's rather annoying. I think McDonalds is getting that way, too, if you happen to go in the right one. Some people just sound really pissy when they ask "What size?"
Funny story, my GF, myself, and her brother go into a McDonalds, and the brother asked the guy to King size his meal, hehe.

This reminds me of a radio skit i heard on 'John Lander's Hit Music USA' way back in 1987 called 'Fast Food' where the protagonist is ordering for a double cheeseburger, onion rings, and a large orange drink
