The one time Squaresoft, and Nintendo came together was for the fabled Super Mario RPG. Because of the falling out between Nintendo and Square, we didn't get a Super Mario RPG 2 (I've seen picture of it and it would've been awesome!) The other Dream team game is Chrono Trigger by Square with the help of the head Animator of Dragonball Z. Chrono Trigger's sequel was less than ideal. These two classics must be reviewed!

Wait! There was a sequel to Chrono Trigger? *shudders*
Funny thing is, I did a segment on Chrono Trigger back in 96, saying "oh, it's a great game, blah blah blah". Thing is, I was borrowing the game from someone, and didn't know WTF was going on, but you can't say that on a TV show...at least I didn't want to back then.
NOW I COULD!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA
I liked Mario RPG, though. It was a rental though when we reviewed it, so I didn't really get that involved in it to REALLY like it. It was a good game.

Chrono Trigger sequel
Yep. It was called Chrono Cross. It dealt with two worlds side by side. The Main character Serge found out that he can cross the boundary. It wasn't until the second half of the game that you found out that Crono and Company had an effect on time and thus the new timeline. Lucca was related to Kid (the main female). The one cool thing that I enjoyed was that you played as the main villian and his companions halfway through. It happens when Serge and Lynx (main bad guy, he's a catman) get into a fight and Lynx stabs Serge. You don't know what happened until later because you start controlling Lynx and get new companions. It was unique.
