Early 3D games normally age the worst. There are alot of N64 and Playstation games that have aged really badly but for some reason Starfox still holds up.
Actually, I think it's even better now than it was when it first came out.
When I first played it (at my cousin's house), I couldn't really get into it - the control felt weird to me. I couldn't even get past the first level. I recently bought it on eBay and have been playing it for the last couple of days. It's really alot of fun and definitely before its time (well, in terms of console gaming - there might have been better stuff on PCs back then though).
I'm actually enjoying it so much, that I'm tempted to try and get a Starfox 2 cart built:

Anyway the reason I suggest it is because I think a review of it now would be even more interesting than a review of it back in the 90's would have been. So much time has passed, that a modern review wouldn't be lost in the futuristic graphics and could review the game honestly - in terms of gameplay etc.

Star Fox is just as great now as its always been in my opinion. Love it.
