I saw this while going to work yesterday morning. A middle age to elderly woman, probably in her late 60's, was pushing and pulling a stroller back and forth with one hand and a cigarette in the other hand. Now I don't care if you hold the cigarette a few inches or feet away from the infant, you shouldn't be doing that, PERIOD!!

This particular bitch was resting her cigarette hand on the stroller handle bar, so the baby in that stroller could get a good strong smell of it. I can't tell you how much I hate that. I used to hate it when my grandmother-in-law (rest in peace, Mawmaw) used to smoke around my kids. She would try to keep the cigarette away from the kids, but I honestly don't think that works.

I see a lot of parents who have cigarettes in their hand or mouth while they have a 4 year old toddler walking beside them. What the hell? Does your life suck so much that you need a smoke to relieve tension at 2 packs a day? If that's the case, you shouldn't be allowed to have children until you quit smoking cold turkey!! End of story!

When I was younger, my parents used to smoke alot. They still do but they're trying to cut down.
I think the worst times were when we were in the car on a trip. We'd be going on a drive somewhere in the countryside and they'd smoke the whole way. You could either open a window and be cold or have them closed and be covered in smoke - seriously my eyes would sting from the stuff.

It sounds pretty bad but that was the absolute worst. In general, they'd smoke at home or whatever but I wouldn't really notice it - it didn't affect my comfort (maybe my health).

Luckily my mother was sensible enough not to smoke when she was pregnant with me or my sister.

My mother was the same. She started smoking again after having me and then my sister. She quit over a decade ago.

Still, I don't care who it is, family, or friends should not smoke around infants. There's a time and a place for it. If you want my opinion, there shouldn't be a time for it at all.

I don't like smoking and I seriously am against it.

If my girlfriend smoked, it would be the cigarrettes or me.
