People who don't want to read stuffHere's an interesting item, people who don't take the time to read things carefully. When it comes to games, it's a bitch to read 5 miles of text, we just want to play the game. I made this clear in the Paper Mario review. If you skip something important, though, it's your own fault.
What about instructions? Do people really read instructions? Or do they have that "I can assemble this without a manual" mentality? In some cases, I have that, too, but I can program my VCR. My DVD recorder, though, I did have to thumb through the instructions until I found what I needed to.
I suppose my point is that there are things that we should take the time to read, and then there are things we shouldn't have to read.
I posted on gametrailers.com episodes 9 and 10 of Video Masters TV were uploaded to their site. As I speak, ep 10 is being processed, but they think episode 9 is boring and it sucks. Let me point out a few things:
First, I posted this in their "Classic" topic, which I assumed was a place where they discuss classic games. NES, Coleco, Atari, etc.
Second, the ones who responded don't appear to be classic gamers, and seem to be the Sony brigade proudly displaying their love for the PS3 and PSP in their avatars.
There's a reason I posted in the "Classic" section. If people read, they would know "Oh, this has little or nothing to do with us modern gamers".
One important reason I posted episode 10. It sticks it to the haters. I'm sure they'll "read" that.
