Yes Technically Carpenters version of the Thing was a Remake, but it is still one of the best damn movies out there. I VERY much doubt they will ever be able to make anything as great as The Thing prequel or no Prequel its still a bad idea. |

Yeah, the 1982 version was one of the only times that a remake was as good or better than the original.
Don't know about a prequel. |

Well i guess you could count the FIRST of The Mummy movies amongst those few decent remakes that has been made over the years. | ||
