This had ALL game footage from Season 2 and 3, plus other video that I used for the show. Also all DVD video files for the Season 1 DVD.
I have no idea what happened. It said run CHKDSK, I rebooted. The next thing I know, everything is gone.
I'm not sure what this means for future shows. There's really not much I can do at this point. Some stuff is saved to DVD from the original recordings. Some stuff I don't think can be recovered from any other media.
Whatever happens, I'll try to keep you all up to date.

This makes me miss the old days even more, when EVERYTHING was on VHS tapes, the voice was on audio cassettes, and THAT'S it.
The only dumbass thing I used to do was record over an existing audio tape with new voiceovers. In other words, record over episode 2 with episode 3, and so on. I do not have any original audio from the very first show, cause I couldn't afford to go out and buy a new audio tape, or even a new blank VHS tape.
Well, as far as the DVD's go, it's not like millions of people were waiting to get their hands on one. It's just as well no one knows we exist, then the pressure would really be on. As far as footage goes, at least it's still on DVD, nicely archived.

That's depressing. As one of the '5 Mac users' who enjoyed the show, I've heard that Macs has less problems than PCs, but i could be wrong, you know. Anyway, i hope things eventually work out.

Recovery of some files is going ok so far. I am missing quite a bit of stuff, but nothing that can't be re-captured. I was just against re-capturing ALL of Season 2 and 3 stuff, and re-editing the segments. That could take weeks, or even months.
I just encoded Episode 2 from the old shows, but I need to do it again, cause I forgot to edit out the part where I give my actual mailing address. I might capture more clips from some old episodes, but not full episodes. We'll see what happens. I have a whole day to myself tomorrow (Sunday), so I will film as much as I can for the February show (just to get that out of the way).
I think things are gonna be ok.

It seems every time I turn off the computer and come back to recover more stuff, stuff keeps disappearing, or just having a blank file name. Must mean it's corrupt, or some other issue.
I guess I'll eventually release Season 2 on DVD, but not anytime soon. By the end of the year, you guys should have one, but as for a release date. Too early to tell.
As I said in another post, I would like to offer some DVD alternatives. Projects that won't require a lot of my time, but will still be quality entertainment.
