Digital Dig Suggestion Box

The segment aired, we have an idea now, lets put our collective internet abilities together to nominate sites into the following month.

Mine is my site http://retromap.net 750+ retro stores around the world and still growing Very Happy

Not really gaming related but VMTV covers Movies and TV, so it's probably okay.

Here's a couple of freely available movies online:

Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning
http://www.starwreck.com/index.php
Seems like a Star Trek fan-film but I promise, It's so much more. A parody of Sci-Fi in general with big-budget quality effects. Download the original version, which has actual Star Trek Ships. They had to change the ships when they got picked up for distributio.

Port Washington
http://benheck.com/pw/
Romantic Comedy directed by Ben Heckendorn (famous for converting home-consoles into portables). Really excellent, especially considering it's a non-profit film.

Cop/Detectives
http://youtube.com/user/CopDetectives
Comedy Cop Drama (8 Episodes). Really sharp writing in this one. Highly recommended. They used to have high quality videos on Stage6.com before it got shut down. I don't know if they're available anywhere anymore though.

There Will Be Brawl
http://therewillbebrawl.com/
Web series based on Smash Bros Brawl. Only one episode up so far and it's really good.

Hmm, I'll have a look. I actually forgot to make a point to have people not plug their own stuff, but I can let it slide one episode, and if it generates good results, I'll allow it in the future.

Non-gaming stuff is ok, though I think (for now) the segment will be mostly gaming related. I'll look at these things during the week, and slip em in from time to time.

Only plug you will see of me since I have been wanting more people to check out and add stores, if you don't like it then don't worry just a suggestion.

My main reason for people not plugging their own stuff is that VMTV isn't big enough that you'll get like 10,001 people looking at your stuff the day the next episode goes public.

Guess I didn't want the show to catch fire for it. The more unappreciative people would say stuff like "well, you didn't plug it good enough, or give enough details".

I think this a very good site. Lots of us are playing older games and that gets expensive if your only option is ebay. I really think the retromap is extremely useful.

Yup you need to know where to go in order to find the best price on the old games to get.  Hence the subtitle: For people who still like to try before they buy.

The more you know, the more you can save.  Cool

OK, a few more suggestions:

http://www.sega-16.com/

Great Mega Drive/Genesis site. Tons of well written reviews and great interviews with developers from the good old days. If you're a Sega nut, you'll love these guys.

http://www.racketboy.com/

Really awesome retro gamer site. Interviews, reviews, and great system guides to help you get the most bang for your gaming buck. Very friendly forums full of       gamers, not bitch-ass kids.
