Changing the format a bit

Might decide to do this live action instead of voiceover. May be easier. More later.

Thoughts?

It seems that in order to do a Monthly Spew every month, I have to find clips to use, and record a voiceover with the appropriate information, and links. That's all fine, but I like to be able to discuss these a little bit, and make this segment somewhat like it used to be in the first season. Lots of people loved when I talked about child molesters owning a Nintendo DS ("I'm a spooky child molester with a DS"), that I want to bring back the ability to discuss these news stories in more detail, and still give you the means to check out the stories, video clips, and screenshots, should you want to form your own opinion to counter my own, hehe. Smile

Tomorrow, I'm off from work. I'm going to film the Spew, and take a few bits from online excerpts, and stuff that you guys posted here, and discuss them either briefly, or in depth.

If you guys got something already posted on the forums you'd like me to talk about tomorrow as I film, don't repost it here, just copy the forum link to where it's originally posted, links and all, and I'll take a look at them.

Dude, I like the idea of it being sort of an editorial. I think it works if it's reporting stuff and then giving an opinion.

I think it's important to give the show a more journalistic feel. After the Jeff Gerstmann incident (him being fired for a negative game review? WTF?) I think it's good to have people come forward and just talk about the weird, kooky, hard to believe stuff that happens in all aspects of media (TV, movies, games)

The Jeff Gerstmann thing is a goddamn fiasco.

Gamespot's always been a joke though.

I watched the review. I don't see anything wrong with what he said. I think he's trying to point out that this is the sad state of video gaming. Every cutscene or piece of dialogue has to have the F word in every sentence.

It's possible that the powers that be wanted Jeff's review to be favorable, not negative. Maybe upon playing the game, he felt that he couldn't provide false opinions on a game that he believed....basically sucked.

I'm glad he came forward and pointed out the games flaws, and so forth. I'd be honored to shake his hand.

This incident will definitely be talked about.
