Blaster Master - NESThis was probably the single most loved game on my NES. My brother and I spent horrendous amounts of spare time on this game.
Never before had we enjoyed a game so much. It's all we would talk about. This was, at least to us, the first game that you felt so giddy about. You had an awesome machine to control and not only that, you could actually disembark and run around, into smaller battle areas only your character could enter... it was fabulously wonderful to have that much freedom.
The look and feel of the game was superb. The music and sound effects blew us away. I need to get this again if I can find a boxed or unboxed version of it for my NES.
Anyone else remember this game? POST thoughts please!

I agree that it's a special sort of game. A little bit like metroid. But i'm stuck with it! I passed the first level but then i don't know where to go next. Also there are these little doors or something but i can't enter them. And how do you change weapons? The rom was free but it didn't come with a manual....
I was playing this fun batman game on a spectrum emulator and got stuck too! I hate it when you want to play a game but you get stuck!! Can you remeber how to play it properly?

I may have to play the game tonight. That'd make a great review. All I need is one more for this months show anyway. If I can figure out where to go next, or a strategy to finding what levels you're supposed to go in, I'll let you know either here, or in the review itself. Stay tuned!

Ok, I was able to find a speed run for the game you might find helpful. I'm watching it now, but trust me, these speed runs that I've seen from this site...some of them are insane. Check it out.

Ah so it seems to be better to swim with the little guy instead of with the tank... anyway didn't watch the whole thing, don't want to ruin the surprise
thanks

Ah. Yeah, that should give you some idea of where to go, what you need to get to where you're going, etc.
There's a site out there that gives you NES speed runs to download. I might mention it on the next show, and give a link here. Stay tuned.
