African women's blog upset over Resident Evil 5http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/01...-blog-upset-over-resident-evil-5/
Am i the only one here who thinks what the fuck? what is this about it is just a game for crying out loud!
For many years we have blown our fellow white men and women to smithereens on different games.
Yet strangely enough we havenīt seen any white womens blog, beginning to be to upset about that.
i donīt know what do you think of it? Me i think the whole business is a feather made into to 10 chickens.

*sighs* Just another example of people blowing things WAY out of proportion.
Yeah, the game is rated M. The only way it could get into the hands of kids is if
1. A store employee (Gamestop, EB Games, etc) sells it to them, unbeknownst to the parents.
2. They play it at a friends house (a friend who happens to be at the appropriate age to play this game)
3. The parents are talked into buying it for them. (Number 3 is usually the more popular answer)
Everything relates to the parents. How do the kids know to hate, fear and kill (quoting the article). Parents are supposed to teach kids not to hate. Even my mother-in-law encouraged her day care kids not to use the word hate. Hate is a strong word for kids to be saying. I wouldn't even want my own kids using it all that much.
Besides, as everyone else has clearly pointed out "It's just a game". Games are meant for entertainment. They are not a teaching tool. If you plan on letting a 17 or 18 year old play the game, check for any psychological problems first. How is the kid's homelife? Does his dad beat him? Does he have violent outbursts of anger? If that's the case, that individual shouldn't be allowed near violent games, period. A kid like that has little to no sense of right and wrong, good or bad. Even if they're taking meds by the barrel, unless these people are aware that real life killing is wrong, I smell a problem brewin.
