One of the things that drew me to Video Masters when I found them on youtube was the home made charm. The feel of it being the average gamer getting their opinion out there.
I also love reading and watching reviews for games that were made around the time they came out as opposed to retro views.
I found this fanzine archive called On-File that has archived articles from many fanzines. I never read them when they came out, but I like reading through them now. I don't agree with everything they say, but I still give them props for getting their opinions out there regardless. Like episodes of Classic Video Masters it's like fun little time capsule to the past.
This is really cool. This reminds me of the sort of thing I would have done back in the early 90s. Except I was doing my own comic books (called "Dominator") as opposed to gaming magazines. lol
