(360/PS3/PC) Dragon Age: OriginsI know this was just released but I've been looking into this game a bit.
This is quite possibly the first epic RPG that's been released in over a year. The spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate is what's being said. Anyone get it?
Hopefully, I'll get to either buy or borrow a copy soon so I can do a little review of it here.

I just got the PC version, and I like it so far. It's pretty hard though, so much that the first patch even lessens the difficulty haha. In that regard, it really does feel a bit like Baldur's Gate, you can't just hack and slash your way to victory. The pause feature to micro manage your characters is really required at the higher difficulties making it feel kind of like a strategy game even. You've got to really watch for position and friendly fire and all that good stuff.
It also feels a lot like KOTOR and Mass Effect when it comes to the conservations and there is something that resembles the Gambit system of Final Fantasy XII. All in all, I really enjoy it so far. I'm also really impresed by the amount of detail that went into it, it's quite uncommon these days to find a game that has it's background on the world in the game so well documented in the game. It just makes the world so much more believable and immersive.
I doubt if I'll be able to get myself to the end, I think it'll take quite a while haha. But it's compelling so far.

I loved Baldurs Gate on PS2. Bree and I will have 360 by Christmas so maybe I'll check this one out.
Let me know if it's good!

Well I purchased the game on Steam and so far, very impressed. It feels like an old school hardcore rpg.
The story is immense with tons of dialogue. I'm enjoying the combat so far but man the game is not the easiest.
I'd recommend it to anyone who likes rpgs.
