13 and 15 year old have baby, still have time to play games.

This is just ridiculous. I'm sure this sort of thing happens all over the world, but I don't think it's quite like this.

From what I've read in the article, the father is 13, and the mother is 15. No joke, though the father looks much younger, kinda looks like Anakin Skywalker did in Episode 1.

These kids are still in high school, how can they afford to care for a baby? Plus, look at the picture, the baby is asleep, and they have the time and energy to play PS2 games? What if one of them spouts an obscenity, or decides to get up and throw the controller? Goodbye baby.

"Oh, that bruise was there when she was brought home from the hospital"

And folks, it will only get worse from here.

I donīt mind parants being young actually i prefere it over the recent trent that says anywhere below the age of 30 to 40 is to young.
My mother was 25 when she got me and in her days it was perfectly acepterble for a person to become a parant at the age of 20 maybe 22.
Heck i can even go down to finding it perfectly understanderble for people in the age of 17 or so getting a child of their own.

But this 13 and 15 no maybe in the times where life expectensies wasnīt over 30 40 at the most, it could be understood.
But now no, the mother is barely in the midle of her teens and the father has just started.
They are proberly still living at home, and even if they arenīt no way any of them can afford the expenses of a baby.
Plus as you said both of them are still in school, how the heck are you gona fit that and the fact that you have a baby together?
Take a year of to take care of the baby no not without getting hopelesly behind.

All in all they are FAR TOO young for the responsibility a baby.
And while both might think that they will be exelent parents, the fact remains that at the current state of their age they just arenīt ready yet.

As you said John (and iīll have to take your word for it, since i donīt have any children of my own) its not going to get ANY easier any time soon.

That boy looks like he's about 7 years old. And that girl... *shivers*

Uhh, yeah. That's pretty freaky.

Stupid kids.

Only if they can provide a good life for their child. What is a 17 year old gonna be doing? Most of them are still in freakin' high school. Way too young to be thinking about kids. People need to practice more responsibility. Babies aren't toys or playthings. You're bringing in a new life that will have to live in this shitty world so they better try and give that kid as good a life as they can.

Yet most of the people at the age of 17 do have enough of an education to be able to get a decent paying job at a supermarket maybe, but a job none the less.

It may be a little off-tropic but something i find really disgusting is people at the age of 50 maybe 55 heck even heard of a woman at the age of 60 with the help of doctors giving birth to a child.

Now if 13 or 15 is too young then that is DEFINATLY TOO OLD!! And yet it doesnīt cause so much uproare as it does when the persons are young.

I canīt help but to say to all of those 50 year old women out there crying about how they could have been the perfect mother and so forth.

Well though on you, nature has given you 30 to 36 years to become a mother, however you choose to spend time doing something else.
Fine by me, but donīt go around complaining 30 years after on how you could have been the perfect mother.

You made a choice now stick with it.

That's not good enough in my opinion. If all you can get is a job at a supermarket then that person needs to get their priorities straight and get their own life together before they start thinking about bringing another life into the world.

I agree that there is a such thing as being too old too. I personally think that after around 40 you might want to stop thinking about having kids. By then your best years are behind you and won't be available to your kid. My mom was 38 when she had me and my dad was 44. They had my two older sisters before me from 1975-1977 (I was born in 85). Even at that age they had pretty much been used up and didn't really do that much with me like they did with my sisters because they were always so worn out. When I was ten my mom was already 48 and my dad was 54. OLD! lol Not that I have anything against them. It is what it is.

So when I hear about these 50 and 60 year-olds purposely trying to have kids, I just have to face-palm. It's so ridiculous and I don't know what they're thinking.

I just think people are a bit too selfish when it comes to having kids. All they're thinking about is how it would make THEM feel to have a family, and how self-important it'd make them feel because they "created a human being," or whatever other reasons people have for having babies -- not thinking about all the hardships, tragedies, pain and suffering that's out there waiting for their kids in the world.

It should be a serious decision that shouldn't be taken lightly. Everything should be taken into account before someone has a kid. Adults should make their decisions wisely and dumb kids need to stop being so dumb and careless (or TAUGHT not to be so dumb and careless) before going out there and doing whatever they wanna do.

All of the ignorance out there makes me sick.

When I was married, my (ex) wife and I use to house-sit for a family where the mother had her second child when she was in her late 40's, I believe. So when the kid turned 10, she was well into her 50's.

Doesn't help the kid was chunkified to the point where you could probably give him chocolate cake and pizza for breakfast.

Can't remember if it was the daughter, or the daughters (lesbian) friend who was walkin around the house with a hole in the shirt around the chest area.

The kind of stuff that would make Glen Quagmire faint. Wink

This story doesn't seem exactly.... genuine. Seems like the cover of one of those mags at the supermarket. You know, the ones with bat-boy joining the marines and Elvis's message from the aliens?

Good point, though hard to swallow considering how horny teenagers are these days (not to mention intensely stupid), I wouldn't be surprised if this was 100% true.

Wonder if the mother of the child got grounded for not using protection.

"But mom, I can't be grounded for 2 weeks. I gotta look after baby whats-her-name, and I'm at level 27 of Saints Row II"

Let's not forget Daddy Anakin Bedwetter just looks like he's about to hit puberty anyway. I doubt he's the father.

Get Maury Povich on the phone.

I've always felt a bit uneasy about people giving birth to a kid so soon. They're obviously not prepared for the responsibilities that are required to raise a kid.
John Gibson

"Quiet now, baby. I'm trying to play GTA, and I can't hear the cutscene with you crying"

It's a race to see who will snap first. The mother or the father. They're not living together, obviously, so how do the two of them take care of the kid? After school? Who gets the kid during the day?
