"Groovy" pic of Jason and Bruce Campbell

Dude, if you're seeing this pic, please explain the "Drew Myers" story below to the fans. I couldn't quite remember exactly how it happened. Very Happy

Oh, and below, folks, is an excerpt from Bruce Campbells book "If Chins could Kill". The person he's talking below is Jason!

I have a friend who actually met Bruce Campbell at Carnegie Mellon University, and recalls a fanboy asking him about saying a line as Ash, to which Campbell replies 'am i your monkey boy?' Obviously, this fanboy doesn't understand how sensitive some actors are about typecasting.

Understandably type casting can be a double edge sword, at one point you can be sure they will cast as any type of characters that resembles the one you got famous for.
But on the other hand you canīt play any other because everyone will link you to that particular part.
Why do you think that there are so many actors who wonīt stay for too long on one kind of show? The answer is fear of type casting.

Mark Hamill suffered it whit his part as Luke Skywalker, so he didnīt really appear in so many movies as a live actor after that.
Instead he became one heck of a voice actor though his most famous part is still the joker from batman.

Bruce Campbell might be a great actor but I think he has spent much time in getting over the Ash part, and want to focus on doing other things.

A lot of well known people have a character that they're famous for, but now want to get away from that character.

Tom Wilson is a good example. He was Biff from the Back to the Future movies. People pretty much come up to him and want him to do lines from the movie, like "What are you lookin at Butthead" or "Hey McFly!"

George Reeves was typecast as well. The 1950's Superman couldn't get other work because people saw him as Superman only
