Many of the games from as far back as the conception of arcades and home consoles were just too simple to make a jam packed 4-6 minute review. Sometimes, the objectives are not as involved, or the graphics are too primitive. This could make it good or bad, depending on....gameplay.

Go as far back as the Odyssey 2, Atari, Colecovision, or the really early arcade games. Is there one you can recommend for a review that will last a minute? We'll still use the same "Keep It, Try It, Toss It" system. Odds are the reviews will be all voice-overs. We'd like to do at least 2 or 3 mini reviews per show. Figure that will add up to a 3 minute segment.

Ok, you may post your suggestions now.

I think it's a good idea, dude. Let's us get a look at more classic games. We really don't need a 5 minute review of games that a lot of us remember anyway.

Heh, thought I locked this thread so you guys can make your own. Oh well.

I can agree with what you said to a point. Some classic games don't need extensive reviews. Games that don't have a lot of content, or much to discuss are meant to be in the Mini-Review.

Let's go back to Episode 13 with the Awesome Possum game. There was a lot to say on that, even if the game was from the 90's era of games. I had a lot to talk about with that game, and it couldn't be covered in a minute or less.

Games that are simple, like Spot for the NES (yeah, remember when the mascot for Sprite got its own game?), that was a game of a simple nature. Not much going on.

The Mini Reviews don't focus too much on classic games. The first time we did this, we reviewed two modern flash games. Super Diaper Baby was really easy to pick up and play, only 3 or so levels. Not much content.

You will see other types of games covered in the Mini Review in the future. As always, all your suggestions are welcome.

For now, this thread will be locked so you guys can create your own threads for suggestions, and get some support on those suggestions. Feedback also helps, too, as MTruel just did. Thanks, and it's good to have you joining the forums.
