I just wanted to say how p*ssed i am at the price of games here in Australia.
For example the games here are $109.00 each.
Compared to the price of games in the U.S. that's just ridiculous.
For example Ace Combat 6 is $60 U.S. and with the exchange rate it should be around $70.00 here.
How can they justify the extra $40.00?.It has always been the case with consoles and games here in Australia...i can remember how much games were on the old super nintendo.
I think games in general are too much.No wonder people download games or rent and copy games from video shops.
That is just ridiculous.I once asked a game shop why the games are so expensive, and they actually told me that the reason for that is the instruction manuals and artwork on the covers cost alot of money to produce.
Can you believe that?.I can print off covers and scan and copy a manual for as little as $5.So that excuse is beyond stupid. _________________ "What about the twinkie?".
Wow guys, that blows. So a ps3 is probably the price of a car, huh? I haven't paid full price for a game in a long time. I'm still rockin my ps2, so all the games I get are 10-20 bucks in the US. _________________ "One of God's own prototypes. Funny thing about instruction manuals is no one reads em. _________________ John R. Gibson

Funny thing about instruction manuals they are mostly built into the game, anyone in here caperble of mentioning a mordern day game where there hasnīt been a toturial in the beginning of it that covered the SAME things that was written in the instruction manuels?

A PS3's launch price here in Australia was $999.00
Games for it are selling between $109.00 and $130.
Nice huh?.
Explain this....they are selling an xbox 360 premuim pack for $538.00.
But just last monday (boxing day) they were on sale for $449.Now if they can reduce the price by that much....imagine how much the wholesale price a shop can purchase a 360 for?.How much profit are they REALLY making?.

Oooh, that's a tough one, chief. Remember my review to Super Paper Mario? "You'll be doing more reading in the game than in the actual manual"
It's hard to think of any modern game where a manual honestly is required. It's already in the game, cause they know most of the people who play these games don't want to read books, however, they'll read 20 miles of text in RPG's (those who don't button mash and skip it) _________________ John R. I feel for the oversea's people. I think it's crap that it costs so much. I think games shouldn't ever cost more than $49.99. I hate this new $59.99 because the new systems are harder to program for.
