I had most of those games. They were crap.

As for Night Trap being the reason for the existance of the ESRB... I don't know. Night Trap wasn't even on the same level, violence and T and A wise, as those hundreds of 80's teenie slasher flicks.

I think it had more to do with any over-reactive government.
