I've given this some thought, and Jason's always mentioned this during the 2nd and 3rd season.

Part of the reason I cut back on episodes was when we make a 40+ minute episode, you're talking about content that can easily be split into 2 episodes. I hate to be the one who is hounding everyone on the show to submit something for the next show.

Also, after watching some of the old 90's episodes, I kinda miss the old 27 minute format (yes, some episodes went 32-35 minutes, or more). Even the first season of VMTV had some half hour episodes, and they were still great, and full of content.

What I'd like to do until the end of 2009 is trim/split the content. You'll still get the usual reviews, cheats, and Earl, etc, but it won't be 40-45 minutes. It would most likely be 25-32 minutes, at least. I'd just like to see if we can get back to a monthly schedule if I do this. For example, let's say the first episode of Season 4 is this:

Grumble and Glorify
Game Review
Digital Dig
Video Vision
Interlude
Game Review
Earl the Robot segment
Grumble and Glorify
Mini Review

This could possibly add up to a 39 minute show. We can take at least 2-4 segments and stick them in the next show. Hence....

Episode 1

Grumble and Glorify
Game Review
Digital Dig
Video Vision
Interlude

Episode 2

Game Review
Earl the Robot segment
Grumble and Glorify
Mini Review

You get the idea. No need to insult everyone's intelligence. Hopefully, this will not deter our fans and regular viewers from watching. By the start of 2010, we'll know if this change has helped the show any.
