My cousin, Jason, who many of you know from the old episodes of Video Masters, introduced me to this TV show last night called Heroes. I was a bit skeptical at first. Both our tastes differ when it comes to shows, movies, etc. Last night, I crashed at his place. Haven't done that in over a year. I seriously think it's high time he return to Video Masters TV, and finally get a chance to do his own material.

I also would like to review Heroes in a future episode. Not sure when. I'm currently in episode 2, and it's hard to turn it off and watch it later. It's getting so good.

Anyone else watching Heroes? Like it? Dislike it? Share your thoughts, and keep the "Spoilers" to a minimum, if you could. Wink

I already like this show and I haven't even seen it yet. It definitely sounds like my kind of show. But the fact is I don't watch much television on a regular basis unless it's wrestling or NBA (I like to watch stuff on my time), so I always end up missing these shows with continuous story lines. Luckily there's the internet! Oh, how I love the internet. So I'll certainly be torrenting this show sometime in the near future. Either that or buy the DVDs when they come out. I'd prefer to own it on DVD, really.

Indeed. I look forward to that if it happens.

Basically what the show is about is a bunch of people from all over the US begin to discover they have strange powers and abilities. Like I said, I've only seen the first 2 episodes. Jason had downloaded them (hush hush) and burned them to DVD for me in AVI format so I can watch it on my computer. So far, I am very interested. I haven't sat down to watch a network TV show since Lois and Clark, and that was...what...1993?

I'm spacing out my viewings of each episode. I just watched episode 2 a few hours ago, and will probably load up episode 3 in a few. That's just how good it is. Rather than watch all of it at once, I want to build tension. Isn't that great? Didn't you use to hate when you'd see your favorite show, and at the end, about 8:58pm, you'd see "To Be Continued...". Damn. A two part episode. You have to wait until next week to see part 2, or better yet, part 3.

Each episode of Heroes, it seems, deals with the lives of these super-powered people. One person can fly, one is indestructible, etc, etc. I hate to ruin it for you. The show is broadcast on the NBC network, you may have to check for air times. Might be different in your own area.

This is also the first time I've actually talked back to the TV, but not in an MST3k humor type thing. Actually telling the character "oh, don't do that" or "HEY, behind you".

Feel like a boob, but screw it, I like this show, a lot!!

OK, that's it. It's getting reviewed this episode! You'll see why I praise this show so much in the next week or so. The show is coming along fine. Filming starts next week.

Huzzah! I'll be buying this for sure.

There was an all-day marathon on the Sci-Fi channel yesterday. Would have been a great opportunity for me to catch up, though I missed it. But that's okay. DVDs!

Watched a bit of the marathon, but with 21 episodes on DVD, eh, didn't need to watch it on TV. Just saw the season finale last night. FANTASTIC. It should be airing on Sci-Fi on Friday, but again, in order to understand what's going on, see it from the beginning. I believe they have the whole first season streamed at nbc.com.

Looking forward to the next season of Heroes. Hopefully, there will still be some of the original cast members, and not too many new ones.

I have a hard time watching this show. Feels too much like Lost.

Seriously, these people all have powers but never use them. Is that what you'd do?

If I wasn't wearing some tight ass spandex, yes, I'd want to keep my powers as secret as possible.

Let's think about Spider-man for a minute. Bit by a spider, can climb walls, spin webs, the whole bit. Do you want that to be public knowledge that Peter Parker can do all this (well, now it kinda is now, isn't it? With that Civil War thing goin on)

You get the idea, I hope. Let's say I could fly. Unless I had a disguise, I wouldn't want people knowing I could fly, cause people abuse other people's skills and talents every day in real life. I'd be pullin cats out of trees all goddamn day.

I have to say that I'd make a costume just so I could use my powers all the time lol.

Some great actors in the show and some not so great ones. The story though feels just too much like Lost. Its a secret in a secret with a side of secret. They want the show to run for a while so you only learn tiny amounts of truth before they throw more secrets at you.

However, I still wish I had super powers.

Don't we all. I'd write in to a gal named Eve Park, and tell her what your super power might be. You might be mentioned on her next "Geek Girl TV" show.

I started out leary of Heroes, but it was a good show. Wait until you see the episode George Takei joins (Hiro's dad obviously). The cliffhanger ending makes you want to watch Season 2 (And Hiro cussng in Japanese is funny). Nikki/Jessica, Claire, D.L. (Probably haven't seen him yet), Nathan, Peter, and Claire's mom (Can't remember her name) have secrets that will be revealed and I suggest you hold onto something.

Heroes Beginnings is a good idea and fleshes out the history. I like the vote because I don't want twenty new heroes, but a few select heroes.

I'm not sure if you got the connection, but Ando is a client of Nikki's (She sells internet porn as a hobby). I love that the heroes all have connections including Parkman (Someone he save will come back in a later episode).
