Not all is good news, though. The combat system has been reworked to fall more in line with contemporary shooters like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 than attribute-driven role-playing games. Health automatically regenerates and targeting is based entirely on your skill, not on the level of your attributes.
Basically they're going to do a mainstream whoring of the series to make it try and draw in the mainstream crowd. So they piss on the old fans to try and get a bunch of new ones. I know Ion Storm is no longer around, but if they're going to F*** Ion's best series, then they should have just let the series die.
I've lost faith in new games, and developers. I hate the mainstream, and I hate what I've dubbed "the Halo Generation" of gamers who want every game to be Halo and have no openness to something new. They are destroying Gaming as we know it.
With the success of Bioshock, you'd figure that the world would be ready for pure Deus Ex gameplay, but apparently the new developers are too stupid to see that.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm just pissed off from hearing the news. This is ridicules.
