I'll avoid films that have already been mentioned. I loved Harvey, Casablanca and Aliens.

Kikujiro
Hana Bi
Kids Return
A Scene at the Sea (Actually everything by Kitano Takeshi)
The Secret of Nimh
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
The Incredible Shrinking Man
Donnie Darko
Short Circuit (if you haven't seen it recently watch it again - it's so much more than just a kid's robot movie)
Rocky
Scarecrow
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Earth Vs. The Spider
A Fistful of Dollars (The whole trilogy)
Once Upon a Time in the West (kind of related)
Amelie
The Day the Earth Stood Still (original)
Sympathy for Mister Vengence
Buffallo '66
My Neighbour Totoro
Grave for the Fireflies
Dead Man's Shoes
Twilight Samurai
When the Last Sword is Drawn
Enemy Mine
Star Trek II
Spider-man 2
City of God
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Little Miss Sunshine

Ah, Splodge I see you are also down with the films of Mr. Sergio Leone. The scene on the train platform at the begining of Once Upon a Time in the West is about as bad-ass as any scene in any western.

Charles Bronson is awesome.  Twisted Evil

I've got to quote you since Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood movies are among my favorites. The Man with No Name Trilogy is the greatest western series ever.
