The Speed Gamers are doing an Earthbound Marathon, playing through the three Mother Games. They have a live feed of the marathon on the website.

It's an event to try and bring the Mother games to the Virtual Console.
They're encouraging people to call Nintendo and request the games.

Earthbound on the SNES is a really cool game, well worth checking out if you haven't played it before.

I played the first Mother on a NES Emulator. It was interesting. I only played Mother 3 (Earthbound). I have never seen Mother 2.
